The String Bean Market And Deli To Open In Former Emporium On Main In Belmont

After many years of community service in Belmont, Russell and Ellen Fleming, owners of the Emporium on Main, passed the torch to a new generation of entrepreneurs Thursday, according to a news release from Ted Hall, president of the Montcross Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Flemings announced the sale of their building at 106 N. Main Street to Chad and Katy Hutcheson of Belmont.

The Hutchesons plan to renovate the building over the next three to four months. They will then open The String Bean Market and Deli, providing fresh produce, meats, a restaurant and a complete selection of wine and beer. The announcement came during a wine tasting at the Emporium.
