The Summer Of Music Comes To An End

Sadly, last night was the end of the Friday Night Live music series in Downtown Belmont and was closed out by Coming Up Brass.

It was truly a wonderful summer of music and I hate to see it end. Maybe we can have a Fall Series . There was a little diversity in the music this year, still a little heavy on the Beach Music side but I know that’s what this area really likes. I was so shocked and surprised when I saw Swampdawamp was on the schedule and I must say that was my favorite night and fell the day before my birthday.

I want to thank Vince Hill, president of the Downtown Belmont Merchant Association for all his effort keeping this going. I would encourage everyone to visit the DBMA website to see the list of all the businesses that contribute to the cause with their time and donations as well.

A hats off needs to go out to the boys at Creative Solutions that put up and take down the staging as well as the crew of the City of Belmont that gets the streets cleaned up before the next day making it look like nothing every happened.

Need to also thank the Belmont Police Department for their professionalism and interaction with the community in general and specifically in these types of events.

And saving the best for last, thank you to all the people that came out to make these events magical and the bands honored us by coming to entertain us.

Belmont Definitely Rocks!
